Discover Savings

Anyone try one of these to withdraw?

I have never heard of this bank or anyone that has tried it on here. Maybe you should be the 1st and report back.

Discover...the same as the credit card company.

I know who they are, I once had this credit card with them, but this is a bank account, not a credit card. Both are way different.

Discover is insanely conservative. I highly doubt they would allow it, but all you can do is try.

I should have been clear, if the names match.

Well, then it's just a normal bank account.

Hell, if the names match, any prepaid card will work, the ones that work anyways.

When I bought a VBA from a well known website (Not sure if I'm allowed to mention here) they used Discover Bank Accounts. I looked into it back when because I figured maybe they were relatively easy to set up and make multiple savings. I've just stuck with my Credit Union though.

Hell to the no! Discover Bank is probably the worst bank to do stealth. Not to mention you need $500 just to open a savings.

There are other banks that you can easily use for stealth, Discover communicates with PayPal, they work hard to verify every single transaction. Unless is in your name I wouldn't recommend, peace.

What do you mean, they communicate with paypal? Don't all banks?

Not all banks, when I mean "communicate", I literary mean it calls PayPal and when they want to verify deposits and other account activity.

I think other banks are better when it comes to verifying you account, Discover is not really good with mismatch names. Like you said, it is in your real name so chances are you won't run into any troubles and Discover is not blacklisted from PayPal.

They actually call paypal? How do you know this?

From experience, it has happened to me. I'm sure other people can comment, I'm sure no one here uses Discover for mismatch names.

What if the name matches and the address is different?

I've never seen a Paypal deposit show the address, just the stealth name.

Re: Discover Savings

I use a Discoverbank savings and checking account on two of my stealths which has my real name so yes it will work fine.

You should be able to get get by with a slight name variation (I have) but I wouldn't push it too much. This isn't the first time I've heard someone mention they aren't mismatch name friendly.
