I don't remember if I ever gave SSN to paypal or ebay
 

I used checking to verify my Paypal but I do not know if I gave them my SSN. I was not a seller but we did use Paypal a lot for many transactions.

I sold probably less than 10 items on ebay before my account was banned due to policy violation.

Is there anyway I can find out if Paypal has my SSN on my Paypal account?

And if they do not, is it ok to provide them the SSN when asked, for my second Paypal account (stealth account)?

I found my answer. In my Paypal account, there is a "add my SSN" option and it is showing empty...so basically I never gave it to them.

Does this mean that it is ok to provide them my SSN for my Paypal stealth account if they ever ask for it?

So, what about ebay, is it safe to say I never gave it to them since I sold less than 10 items? I don't suppose they request SSN for buying activities?

Ebay doesnt usually ask for SSN.
And 'safe' is a relative term.
If youve done your job properly on the stealth account the info on it will differ greatly from your real information meaning your real SSN wont be of much use as it will not match the info the account was created under.
Instead start thinking of an EIN. Do some research on the forum and read up on it in the stealth guide. Could be the solution to your problem - and a much easier/safer one.
One last thing - I would advise not to add an SSN/EIN to the account until you absolutely have to. No point in 'burning' that sort of info unless it is absolutely necessary.

I have an EIN from my business (never used on ebay or paypal). I will be using this EIN (when they ask). However, I am the owner of this business so if they do ask for the SSN I will give mine to them I guess.

Be careful here.... You are talking about a stealth account.


You never use info from old suspended accounts on new accounts.


You avoid EVER supplying an SSN where possible.
