new ip after ...
 

1. i have my modem replaced , its a brand new modem, i read on the stealth guide that you will have a new ip address if you just get a new modem/router. I didnt write my old ip address, but does ip change after you get a new modem.
2. what are some other ways on finding if you have a dynamic or static ip besides typing ipconfig on the windows bar bc the info pops up and disappears within second? I read a previous thread on this as well but want to clarify,

Most of the time putting in a different modem works but for some us it's just not a reasonable method.

What's your ISP?

Try to unplug the modem from the wall and wait a couple of minutes, plug it back in and check IP, just check it prior to doing this each time and you will soon find out if you are dynamic or static IP

I believe that's Dynamic but even some that are dynamic....it can become difficult to change IP's.
