Aged account that just started to use - PAYPAL now gets smart!
 

Hi All,

I have been creating stealth accounts to use for PayPal collection of funds over the years. I have a lot of spare, aged accounts and recently took a few out to use. The moment I collected funds on the account, I got this email from PayPal.

Anyone experienced that? Will PayPal after some time revert my status back to normal instead of waiting 21 days for the funds to be released?

SAMPLE OF EMAIL I GOT FROM PAYPAL below:

Dear XXXX XXX,

You've received a payment from xxx.

Transaction details

Buyer's name: xx
Transaction date: xx
Transaction amount: $333.00 USD
Your transaction ID: xx

The payment is in your pending balance for one of the following reasons:

There's an unusual change in selling price compared to your selling history.
The transaction is quite different from your normal business.
The item sold may potentially cause dissatisfaction with customers.
Your account was inactive for a while.
You only recently started selling outside of eBay, so your history with us as an off-eBay seller is still progressing.

The payment will typically be available 21 days from the transaction date, or once the buyer confirms they're happy with the item.

Get your payment faster

We want to make the payment available to you as soon as possible. Here's how you can help to speed up the process:

After you ship the item, mark it as shipped on the Transaction Details page. You can also provide the tracking number if available. The funds should be available within 7 days of the shipping date (14 days if you're shipping to an international location).
For a service or an intangible item that doesn't require shipping (e-book, piano lessons, etc.), mark the order as processed and provide details. The funds should be available within 7 days after you mark as processed (14 days if your buyer is based internationally).

This is not something new.
The account might be aged but it has zero activity so they treat it as a new account.
Those holds will be lifted - once they trust you enough to do so. To establish trust you need to exhibit a long and successful activity history with them. No way around it.

Very unwise to put info that IDs you in open forum.

paypal does this with all accounts that it does not trust.

Once you prove you are OK all should be better.

With PayPal, aged only makes a difference if there has been activity on the account.

That's why recommendation still stand to always rotate activity among accounts to "age" them well

Yes had it before, its how we compose the guidelines for stealth. IE dont suddenly decide to start selling iphones after you have been selling books.

Also similar messages like:

"We notice you dont have a payment history with us..."
"The items you have been selling are inconsistent with your business model.. "
"You have not used your account for sometime"

etc

When making business accounts it helps to stick to type of products you told them you were going to sell at sign up.

This is true, otherwise you will get payment holds saying "We noticed you haven't use your account in a while" etc
