I am trying to make a purchase on eBay using a ebay gift card, My ebay / PP / addy have been banned.


Using a virtual box and VPN / Public wifi:
I put the items into my cart and checkout as a guest.
I enter my reship address. and GC no problems the GC covers the whole cost.
Tells me that i must checkout with paypal,
Create a PP account with ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name and reship addy.
Add vanilla visa with matching zipcode. Card is added no problems.

But when i checkout, i am getting one of these 2 errors (soft limit)
we're sorry but we can't send your payment right now

paypal your purchase can not be completed and your account have not been charged

Steps i have done to try to bypass this:
clear cookies history, etc..
user agent switch to IOS,
switch to public free wifi / vpn.

How am i able to bypass / get rid of this?

Try buying with the card directly on Ebay (don't use Paypal).

I believe the use of an Ebay gift card requires a paypal account. No way around it.

And for paypal using a gift card is the same as using a regular payment method meaning the amount of trust they have in you and your account will come into play. Since this is a brand new account they have zero trust in you especially considering youre trying to use an ebay gift card - a source of payment which is a very high percentage of fraud associated with it these days.
No way around this really... other than establishing trust with them over time by starting with lower amounts and transactions they would consider 'safe'.

How about purchases around 30$, would you consider this safe?

I plan on making purchases with eBay GC around 200-500$.
