Paypal currency excange is killing me. How to beat them?
 

Hi. I am forced to withdraw my money on my bank account in Euros because i live in EU. Since Paypals currency excange is awfull, this is killing me because I am mostly selling on US and UK ebay.

How to beat that? Can I go into my bank and ask for USD/GBP account and add this to my paypal acc? Would I have an option then to withdraw in USD/GBP?

Or should I have to go phisicaly in UK/USA and open those accounts there and transfer my ebay/paypal account to UK/US?

Getting a USD/GBP account wont help. PayPal will still convert your USD/GBP to Euro when you try to withdraw.

I'm told that it's possible to have a USA USD bank account attached to a PayPal, but it's not common and you have to jump through a lot of hoops to get it approved.

I'm trying to find a solution too as I'm having the same problem. :thumb:

You need to add a currency wallet to PP - add US and/or UK balances as a way to hold the funds and avoid immediate conversion.

Cashing out will be tougher unfortunately :( you need to have that currency bank added (may be possible manually by calling PP...but if you can't...well you will have to spend the funds or so to avoid exchange rate when cashing out
