Does PayPal link by Name & Surname ?
 

Hi folks,

I am about to create a new PP acc, but thought I should consult with the pros :)

How do you guys handle Name and Surname for the new acc? Do you make an intentional mistake in Name/Surname?

I would like to use my real name if possible so I can avoid verification issues if needed.

You would not avoid verification issues by using your exact real name if your exact real name and DOB have already been used before, you would just get yourself linked

Thanks James. Seems like I was too optimistic about using my real ID.

I've got fresh:

Bank Acc
Address (virtual registered)
Phone
Email
Machine + IP

Can you suggest what else am I missing in PP stealth equation..? Can I withdraw funds from PP even if Name/Surname doesn't not match on "Bank Acc <--> PP" ? This for UK PP btw.

Sorry for all the noob questions, I know you hate those :)

Lloyds is best avoided. They are well known for not liking mismatching names on deposits.

Really dont want to be using Lloyds

HSBC, Halifax and NetWest are 3 very good banks though

Preferable to avoid Lloyds.

Thanks guys. Once you go to open a new bank account do they question you why you have multiple bank accounts or why do you want to open another one? How do we handle those questions? :)

Also, have anyone used 2CHECKOUT to accept PP payments? I read they offer this service if I got their advertising right.

Nothing wrong with having a few banks

Most the time if you have a bank account already with a bank (HSBC for example) then you can easily open up a savings account with them online without any problems

Stealth involves use of a stealth name too - @ORM, do yourself a favour and read the stealth guide

You need to try to avoid opening too many accounts in a short time frame.

Try sticking to basic accounts too.

Keep in mind buyers are brainwashed for paypal.

Also ebay UK says it should be offered on listings.... Check carefully before diving into using another method.

I'm just curious as to why you would want to use 2checkout?

I just glanced over their website, and it's just a portal for accepting Paypal payments. Does Ebay even allow the use of 2checkout?

Sorry, I forgot to mention I need PayPal for accepting PP payments on my own website, I'm not selling on eBay. Hence I wondering if 2checkout would work out as a better alternative to new PP stealth acc :)

I doubt it would make any difference, and I'm assuming that's just another service you would need to pay for.

What makes you uncomfortable about just using regular paypal checkout on your site?

Given this info, you could use 2checkout.

Have you looked at any others and are you considering other payment methods....

Thus avoiding all eggs in one basket scenario!
