| vetus | 05-31-2016 10:16 AM | Re: paypal operations was suspended in my country Well for a start you need to then deal with the 200/$20,000 on the US PayPal, if you cannot get an EIN then you will be burning through PayPal accounts for fun.
If you get one from the EU that allows VCC withdrawals, you won't have to worry about adding a bank account, you won't need to worry about 200/$20,000 per year and you only need to lift the EU receiving limit. |

Re: paypal operations was suspended in my country Its a shame how they just flip the switch and people who's livelihood depends on such a thing - is now at jeopardy! Shame on PayPal! How long in advance did they give you a notice?
Advice you have received from other members seems pretty solid. Just make sure you tread carefully, and think wisely now. |

Greedy Turkish government suspended their activity. At least, this is what they say on their website. I had spoken to an agent on the phone for least 30 min. She was very pissed of as well, she said she is gonna loose her job in a few months. LoL |

If turkey is somehow banned from paypal, then maybe turkey vcc are no good now either, eg. blacklisted, you will have to try it..... |

I completely understand why they chose to do what they did, but they should have taken into account how many businesses would have been affected.
Here's an interesting read... (NOT a paypal link) PayPal to halt operations in Turkey after losing license, impacts ‘hundreds of thousands’ | TechCrunch |

Please share your results if you try it. |
Re: paypal operations was suspended in my country Hey guys! I was following this website as a visitor, but the recent news made me to sign up here.
Frankly speaking, the problem is sourcing from Paypal, not Turkey. Turkey wants any payment provider to locate its database (related to the transactions of Turkish accounts) in Turkey just like European Union did the same. However, Paypal did not accept it, or realized it as a financial burden, and didn't take necessary steps, and left Turkey. That process was more than a year, but Paypal announced this decision at the last moment as if Paypal tried it best, and got the gate. Paypal just piles on the agony.
Anyway.. The result is bad for us, especially for the sellers on ebay.
Now, I'm trying to find the best solution to maintain my business. Stealth -US Ebay and Paypal- accounts work for us? Entropay or Payoneer are compatible with US Paypal accounts to withdraw the money? |
| getlan | 06-02-2016 12:15 PM | Re: paypal operations was suspended in my country i am from turkey too.
if i get a new paypal from eu countries , cen we withdraw money to entropay?
first paypal to entropay
thans entropay to turkish bank account.
is it work? do you have any idea?
and second questions if i open an eu pp i need to get a vpn from the same country.
or can i open a eu paypal from turkish ip
because i heard some problem about vpn like paypal banned vpn accounts.. |
| RichardCard82 | 06-02-2016 12:19 PM | Re: paypal operations was suspended in my country Send the Turkish Government an email and just ask "Y U DO DIS?" |
| getlan | 06-02-2016 12:22 PM | Re: paypal operations was suspended in my country maybe paypal works again. but when?
we can not wait until that time. we need to access ebay and paypal together. |
| mophie | 06-02-2016 12:46 PM | Re: paypal operations was suspended in my country Here's my advise since your country decided to not extend a license to PayPal according to this article.
I would suggest you open EU accounts for various reasons, well Italy PayPal accounts could be a much better alt, why? You can easily purchase a reloadable virtula card here on the marketplace, and attach it to your PayPal in Italy and withdraw regularly in Italy. Or use it in Turkey at a POS machine. Don't just open up US account, they're expensive and could cost you more in the long run unless you're prepared.
Also, having a tourist account here doesn't mean you can open accounts online, they require more information than when you previously used to open such account. That's double the trouble.
You can however, diversify and open accounts close in your area, Like I said account in some countries let's you withdraw directly to a bank card. That's the best alternative now vs Long distance accounts with higher risks of limitation.
Another thing paypal place limits on accounts, so selling can take 21 days or less, but you also can get several limitations at once for any reason, as there is different departments always looking into your account. |
| getlan | 06-02-2016 01:24 PM | Re: paypal operations was suspended in my country can i use entropay for it?
and if i use turkish ebay and eu paypal,is it a risk?
or do i need to open a new eu ebay and paypal together with some information.
and i have to use vpn when i open different country paypal and ebay |
