Hey guys paypal question for you
 

Hey guys I am hoping someone can help me. I purchased my stealth acct in Feb, All positive feedback, increasing about 10 a week. Im going with the slow and steady, I only transfer about 200 or 300 a week.
I get an email from paypal i needed to provide:
- Your Social Security Number (SSN)
- Your Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN)
- Your Employer Identification Number (EIN)

I got the ein, if i use that they want me to upgrade to business , ok, I tried upgrading - they want the social..( the stealth acct in no where near my name, and since it was purchased I do not know the person)

So. I looked online again, doing the ITIN says it takes about 7 weeks.
( I am able to receive funds, withdrawl, etc)
But eventually will they limit me? or do they know it takes almost 2 months?
or do you suggest me opening new paypal with a friend/family name/social?
Any tips would be great.. I thought getting EIN would work, now they want social

Are you being asked because of nearing the 200 transaction/$20,000 threshold, or did the account become limited for some reason?

If it's the former then it's not a big deal -- asking for the last four digits of the SSN, and the date of birth is normal when upgrading to a business Paypal account. Using the last four digits of your EIN, and using any birthdate works to bypass that.

But if the account is limited for another reason or they're otherwise asking for a full SSN then they must be suspicious of your account activities.

Nearing the 200 transactions. They wanted a full social. The paypal acct isnt in my name, so socials wouldnt match , birthday, etc.
Its not limited, I made a transfer today.

Do you know will paypal wait up to 7 weeks for the ITIN

If you leave it as a personal account, yes they'd want the full SSN but that's not possible since it's a stealth account -- you'd only be able to provide a SSN if it were you real account (and even then I wouldn't do it).

If you upgrade to a business account you can bypass having to provide a full SSN and be able to use an EIN instead.
