So i got two payments today from the same buyer and then this message from pp.
''You have received a payment that we believe may not have been authorized by
the PayPal account holder. Here are the details of the transaction we are
investigating:''

I don't understand why did pp opened a case? If they suspect something
shouldn't they contact the buyer and not me?

Does this mean my pp will be manually reviewed? :confused:

It could be that the buyer accidentally paid twice and papal detected that, i have done it before myself when a web page didn't refresh. Just a possibility, i wouldn't panic yet.:surrender:

Weird thing is that one the first payment is Held but the second is ok?

Something flagged the transaction as suspicious. Maybe someone logged into the buyer's account from another country to make the purchase.

There's tons of Paypal-related fraud so this is perfectly normal. I frequently have transactions put under review and nothing bad ever comes of it. Believe it or not, this is for your own good. Paypal wants to make sure this isn't going to end in a chargeback.

Just wait until Paypal tells you the order is ready to be shipped, because there is a chance the charge will be reversed after review.

These are the things that paypal does often which actually protect the seller!

I have had this many times and most of the time PayPal reverse the payment (I don't remember that I got the money even once ) so don't ship any item at the moment , you may write to the buyer regarding the situation why it's delayed .

I guess you don't need to refund the payment as it's not your mistake , usually PayPal would reverse the payment after the investigation
