Bank account disabled
 

My bank account got disabled in Paypal's system. I never received the micro deposits and got an email from paypal saying the micro deposits were rejected by the bank because the bank does not recognize my account number. I think I know why... It is a savings account that I accidentally added onto paypal as a checking.

I then removed this bank account and re-added it as the correct savings account. However, when I logged onto my paypal the next day, the bank was gone and when I tried to add it again they said "this bank account is disabled." I tried calling paypal and they wanted to do public records questions to verify me before they could make the bank account valid again (Not possible since this is a stealth account).

My question is, should I bother using another bank account on this paypal account, or is this paypal account going to give me a problem with other banks as well? Anybody have advice?

I would of advised you to call them. But seems like you already have. Out of curiosity, when they said they wanted to verify public records, what exactly did you say?

I made it seem like my kids were in the background and needed me and that I had to get off the phone urgently

Maybe consider trying again if you want to salvage the account.

You mean try to call and have the bank added again?
I could give it a shot.

Do you think i should try a different bank with this account? Or just leave it alone?

What I was thinking was based on your comment of misnaming the account, ie checking instead of savings. You made an error in the description & could the stsffer help you add It manually.

That is exactly what i asked them to do when i called. However, that account number is "blacklisted" or disabled, being as though the micro deposits originally didnt go through, then i removed it and re-added it. When i asked to manually add the bank account for me, the pp rep said she would be happy to, she just needs to do a verification check with public records questions.

I have another bank account on hand, but i am worried about wasting it on this pp account, in case they decide to disable every bank added to this pp.

Or perhaps i can try my luck with calling again.

I wouldn't waste another bank account unless this account was really valuable to me

If the account is older and established and you really want to save it how about trying the safe route and buying a VBA and trying to add that? if youre able to add a VBA youll probably be able to add another bank account. If you fail then you lost a few dollars the VBA cost you.

That isn't a bad idea. I think I will let the account cool off for a bit and then try a VBA. Thanks.
