Quick question: can paypal see the name on the bank account?
 

Have stealth account and bank of america (real) bank account and have been making deposits from paypal to my checking account for a while now, but I need to refund a buyer but I've already deposited his money into my bank.

So if i refund him, the funds would come from my bank account, so would paypal be able to see my real name now? or no?

What's the point of virtual bank accounts than?

If you upload funds from your bank account TO paypal, there is a receipt that the bank sends to paypal that would show your name - will paypal act on that? Chances are low and depends on frequency - but it is still revealing the true name.

Virtual bank accounts are a different topic altogether - they are NOT used for withdrawing - just to VERIFY the paypal account and then toss (not used for longterm withdrawals)

Hey, not uploading funds into paypal account. Refunding a buyer and since the account has $0 in it, the funding source will be my bank account. Is this risky? how should I refund the buyer instead?

I do have a card on the account that matches the account stealth. should i pay buyer using card? seems risky he can dispute it and i'd lose on ebay and paypal fees from a $200 payment

If funds move from bank to paypal, it can reveal your name, which can cause issues if ever your account is manually reviewed at a later date.

It is a manual review that might reveal the name.

If the refund goes thro' smoothly, then there is rarely a problem.

The bank account is still effective to showing paypal a verified & confirmed paypal account.
