Money deducted due to dispute. Where is it?

I recently had a paypaldispute started on my account and £150 was deducted.
This left me at -150
I had to add 150 to bring it back to 0
But then had to add another 150 to issue a refund?

Whaere the 150 paypal deducted to leave me in a negative balance and how do I get it back?

It will still be in your PayPal account on hold, until they are sure the buyer got their refund, they might do a review of your account triggered by you having to refund the buyer, if they do a review might hold your £150 while review is held. So it is a wait and see situation for you.

If you added the 150 via bank account, they will wait for that to clear before
releasing the funds that were on hold. Once the refund is taken out of your
account, I would call them and find out when they will release the funds on
hold if they don't do it automatically.

The dispute ended as soon as I added money and refunded the buyer.
That was over a week ago and still no £150 returned to my account

Might be time to call paypal if you are confident of doing this.

Try going through your transaction history and doing some calculations to ensure your 100% that they've taken the money.

Better yet, contact them via email as oppose to calling in.

This happened to me a while ago, and I can't remember for the life of me what happened in the end, but I remember I corresponded via email to ensure I could portray my figures correctly - rather than baffling the agent on the phone with numbers.

Re: Money deducted due to dispute. Where is it?

i swear this happened to me too. negative balance for dispute. had to add funds via bank. lost dispute, than they ask for money again.

according to paypal, while they actually review it (like the 2 minutes) the funds were released back to me so that's why they are asking for the money again.

i said the released money doesn't show as a transaction and they said "i know, it's not going to". it was $40 wasn't worth my time to look though it, but i call them shady either way
