How many disputes can one buyer file?

How many disputes can one buyer file under one transaction?

I know there are two type of disputes; non-receipt and not-as-described. Can they close a non-receipt claim and file a not-as-described claim on top of that, abusing the dispute system in the process?

I was under impression with the new Ebay design that they're not able to file multiple disputes between Ebay and Paypal.

They can open all sorts of cases, but I'm pretty sure it still counts as 1 mark against your seller standards.

Thats just eBay... They can then just go open a case in Paypal as well.

If you have a real madman, its always easier just to refund and move on- No need to get it go on for ages and have cases in eBay and Paypal.

I'm hearing different information about this. It could be possible than UK has different standards..

I remember a year ago people were able to stack disputes kind of unfairly, but I'm not sure if this still applies. I'm thinking it does not..

Technically, it says on this page that after someone open a dispute and closes it, they shouldn't be able to open another one. In my experience, that has been the case, but I just wanted to double check if anyone's had any other experiences..

I'm just not sure if "Guarantee" or "Protection Disputes" are the same thing as mentioned above..

If they open a PayPal case, then come back to ebay, then ebay case closes automatically.

But most of the time its done the other way around.

They open it on ebay, ebay sides with seller. They go to PayPal (almost like a second opinion), where that fails, they go to their bank and chargeback.

Like Haidukken says, if you get the feeling their going to take you for a ride, just refund and move on.
