paypal??...account disappeared
 

On a old Paypal account, it appears it has vanished. I tried logging in and all it does is give me a 1800 number to call. There was a neg balance on the account for 6 months. So im assuming it was closed or deleted due to that.

Now if this is true, can i use the ein info from the account for a new stealth ebay/paypal account?

Its advisable not to use, because your new account will be in trouble.

Well thats funny, because my paypal with real name/ss got shut down close to 10 years ago. I just opened a new paypal wth my nickname and real last name as well ass...they have not been linked. And the nicname paypal has been open over a year

If your 100% sure the old account has vanished, and your not entering the wrong email/password combination, I would just go ahead and make a new paypal/ebay and use the EIN number, just to see what happens.

I wouldn't use it for selling etc., just make a stealth for that. But for 'experimental' reasons, just do it, you've nothing to lose.

Hi there! Need clarification in this PayPal EIN/SS issue. If you have a old PayPal and SS/EIN attached to it and delete it from PAYPAL and use that EIN/SS # for a new stealth account, PayPal can not link/track you with your OLD account? Please NOTE (first you delete the SS/EIN # from old account. Your ans./advice will be highly appreciated. Thank you!

Jean - Paypal will not link accounts on name alone. Lots of people in the world have the same name. However, SSN / EIN information is specific enough that there are no two alike. I believe that if you tried to add your SSN or EIN that was previously banned, your new account will be banned as well.

Shani - I'm not sure of the answer to your question, however it will always be safer not to use a SSN or EIN that has banned on a new account.

The answer is that EVEN if you DELETE the SSN or EIN info, paypal still STORES the old info like a library of info...once you enter info in paypal it is captured and can be used to link. Do NOT reuse old info

I had the same perblem I had an account with about 20 dollars in it. I tried to recover password. It said account cant be found. I emailed paypal with account's email automated t said such account dont exist under that email. It was weird. I did not go any furtehr tho
