What should I do paypal wise for 16 year old inactive account?
 

I have a 16 year old eBay account I'm bringing back to life. The other eBay account I was using got limited due to 3 returns. I have absolutely everything set to not link on the eBay side, and now the last step is to figure out what to do on the paypal side. There is no longer a paypal attached to this account.

1.) I have the PayPal linked to the 'below standard' eBay account with additional emails listed. I accidentally had one payment (my only sale in 2 years) sent to an additional email address on this account... AND there was zero hold, zero linking, my eBay is still good standing 2 months later. This would be the quickest way to get back up and running, and is linked to my paypal debit card, so I can get a few months out of this option before they catch on this would be ideal. This is also the account that originally was used for the 16 year old account.... All traces of it just disappeared from eBay due to inactivity. With this option I risk getting linked, but I won't look like I tried to bypass their decision.

2.) I have an additional new PayPal, with the same last 4 and dob as the first but slightly different names and different addresses which match the info on the corresponding eBay account. (I did this because I thought the ssn was different too, it was not.) They are both business accounts, and you can only have one business accounts, so the second account has not linked to the first. With this option, it seems almost just as risky to be linked to my first paypal, and naturally then to my limited eBay account as it has the same last 4 and DOB only. Nothing else is an exact match.

3.). The third option is to create a THIRD paypal, with EIN. This would still result in 21 day hold I'm trying to avoid... But this option would ensure the ssn doesn't match my first paypal. Again that paypal is in good standing, but the eBay account linked to it has limited search placement.


I was leaning towards option 2, as that's why I created the new paypal. However given I screwed up and used option 1 once without holds or issues I am considering going down that path... While building a stealth account and paypal for if/when they link a few months from now.

It seems to me the third route is the safest. But wait to get more opinions from more members before making a decision.

I just remembered you are only alloud one business account and one personal... So if I do that it will be two business accounts registered to the same name/address. Does anyone know if I can simply remove my ssn from option 2, and insert an EIN in it's place? Or will those last 4 of the ssn always be there? (It only asked me for last 4 not full social)

If not.. Will paypal downgrade my unused business account to a personal, or close it out for me, if I explain I made a mistake, thus making room for the new business account with EIN?

I have closed account number 2 today as it would unintentionally link to my below standard account by my date of birth and last 4. It has never been used, or linked to my 16yo aged account in any way... So I will be opening a new account with EIN only. The 21 day hold sucks but it's worth it to avoid any linking.
