Paypal accounts with no 21 day holds
 

How would I go about getting or creating a paypal account that has no 21 day holds? I've been making my own accounts for years now but sometimes I get fed up of the 21 day hold process and in some cases the accounts will die long before I even get that 21 day hold removed. With other accounts the hold will only apply to ebay payments only but will not apply to payments sent from other accounts. Its just strange.

Or lets say I wanted to continue making them on my own, is there a set formula to get all holds removed from my accounts whether over time or during creating or something of that sort?

thats a real good question I would like to know also. Alot of my accounts are set up similar as i would let them die after a month or 2. but Ive noticed & i believe the formula for getting the 21 day hold lifted is to:

1 have 25 or more sales
2 have 25 or more positive feedback
3 been a member for 90 days with no disputes
4 have generated a certain dollar amount

i think thats the formula for getting the 21 day hold lifted or somthing similar & of course on a few accounts i would not meet 2-3 of those requirements so i never tested the 21 day hold problem :juggle:

@digim0n, have you looked in the sellers section? Last time I checked, which pricey, there were sales of no hold accounts...

Here in UK it's 90 days after receiving first payment, could be different there

I you upload tracking then the holds are reduced to 5/6 days usually.

I've only seen one seller by the name of fox but when I messaged him he said he was out of stock. Everyone else's accounts do have holds.

21 day holds are how PayPal protects themselves from fraud. Even an older account that has had no sales activity for more than 6 months is subject to the 21 day holds. Here is why: If they had no holds, anyone could set up a PayPal account, sell a few thousand dollars worth of stuff on eBay, cash out and not deliver anything.

The 21 day holds do not usually last very long. Once they see that you are delivering merchandise and your customers are happy AND you have some sales, of course, then they go away. It is not always 25 items and 90 days, it CAN be sooner than that. There are no guarantees of course.

The only way I know of to remove them sooner is to give them an SSN. If you do that and request the holds be removed, they will run your credit report and if you have a good credit history, they will remove the holds. But there are no guarantees with that, either.

I purchase an eBay acct from a friend. He didnt have that 21 days limit back then; it takes place after i created a brand new paypal account and linked to his eBay account.

Do i have to link my bank account into paypal to lift this limit?

The 21 day holds are removed after you earn paypals trust. Adding you account t account t won't remove them. You just have to wait until they are removed

I had my paypal account for over 10 years and used it just to buy from ebay. Then I started selling on ebay and I had a paypal hold of 3 months until the payments were instant.

i have heard that paypal are thinking about implementing 365 day hold for all new paypals , anyone have any further news about this new strategy ?

yeah, and I heard that they will keep your money for 6 years in case of your account gets limited and a lifetime buyer protection for item not received ...

Well I've heard that they send secret agents to spy on you and take photos of you to keep in their records just incase you owe them money in the future.

I have had 2 accounts recently that after i fulfilled the criteria for eBay i was receiving instant payments for a few days than holds came on again along with a 60 day meter in paypal saying that payments will receive the 21 day hold until its been 60 days from the first payment received since the new holds have been applied, and than they would re-evaluate
