Non-techy newbie bare boned question- IPs
 

I had a nice thread going and appreciating vips and long timers polite and information responses... But just as we got down to the bare bone question, they dropped off line...They have lives I guess ;)

Here is the last part of the question I needed responded to rewritten from my thread "The newbiest question ever- sorry"

The bare bone question, (rephrased)- Doesn't IP addresses identify the "Address" of a specific modem, and not a specific computer, tablet, smart phone...etc. So if all of those devices are on the same modem/router in your house, don't they all benefit from the fresh IP address?

Can I or can I not sit on my couch with my smartphone, (not using apps just browser), and access my new up and running EB and PP stealth account

You did only start the other thread 3/4 hours ago bud.

It is a Sunday so you may want to give people a bit of time to answer.

An IP is a single number. Any device connected to the same WiFi spot will have the same IP. Each devise does not get its own new IP. They all use the same new IP

You would not be able to run stealth account 1 on laptop 1 and stealth account 2 on laptop 2 using the same WiFi connection as they are both using the same IP

I knew the devices didn't all get new ID address..That's a no-brainer even for me. But you answered my question simply and directly (with the answer I was hoping for). I very much appropriate everyone's time today. Please excuse any lack of forum etiquette that I may have... Was a Mom & Pop seller for 9 years with out a single glitch...Until last weeks unexplained suspension.
