Paypal Payment Under Review
 

Hy, this is something new thats happened yesterday, i sold some CS-GO items to a dude and he paid via paypal. The transaction went under review and ive been waiting 24 hours. Its been 30 hours now and it still hasnt cleared, ive had payment reviews before, and always they would clear after 24 hours, give or take 1,2 hours.

Should i refund the payment to the guy ? He said he paid with his balance, so no check or bank problems.

If it was paid from a balance the payment would have been received instantly

I'd say he paid with a different form and I would look at the transaction details to see if it says something differently

In the transaction details it says "Instant"

This has actually happened for me upon buying something.. it took 3-4 days and I too used PayPal balance. Don't give anything until it clears.

I told him to contact them, maybe they can speed it up or something.

Cleared this morning, weird stuff, kinda makes me anxious about servicing this buyer.

I withdrew the money and gave him his items, and now im kinda worried he might file a claim or something and cancel my withdrawal or give me a negative balance.

When it said ok to ship, seller protection wasn't eligible.

This review is nothing new, paypal sometimes assess risk from the buyers account and holds funds usually for 24 hours to make sure everything is ok. And it prevents the seller from shipping out right away just to discover the payment is fraudulent

Then you shouldnt ship. Even if cleared, but stated not elgible fo r seller protection then you wont be covered on paypal side against a case. You may be covered on ebay side though!
