PayPal Wants Social Security Number
 

Hi Everyone,

My Stealth PayPal Account got limited and supplied the documents they requested. now they want additional information such as a SSN,

"Dear PayPal User ,

We are reviewing your account and unfortunately your account limitation cannot be lifted at this time. We need more information about your account before we can proceed with the appeal process. Please complete the steps below:




– Please add and confirm your Social Security number.

Here's how to add your Social Security number to your PayPal account:

1. Log in to your PayPal account.
2. Click the "Settings" icon beside "Log Out."
3. Click "Add your SSN" under "Account options."

Is there anyway to get around this?

I have $2500 that i really need and they screwed me over!

just started receiving instant payments for 3 days then they pull this one.

A real ein but can you withdraw your current funds or that locked up to?

withdraw is locked up, they want an SSN and thats all

The documents didn't fly for whatever reason. Wait the 180 Days and then you can withdraw. Some say methods to get out sooner. Maybe others can reply with this knowledge or search there are lost of topics...

Walmart messed me up once too so I feel yea~

180 days is along time to wait i really needed that money to pay bills, now i can't pay them at all,

I have gotten my funds back in 45 days on another PayPal account before

the Ebay account is useless now i guess, it took me 5 months to get the selling limits increased to $25,000

what would happen if i just made up an ssn?

also would it be a good idea to call PayPal and explain to them and tell them it was Walmart's fault?

In the future, call paypal BEFORE creating any docs. A lot of time they only need one or two things on the long list. Usually just a Photo ID with address... The less you have to upload the better and less scrutiny they can have.

Paypal wont care whose fault it is. They dont like that sort of business anyways.
