$1000 Limit Withdrawl Every 30 Days?

Has anyone seen this message on their paypal?

It states that I am allowed to withdraw up to $1000 every 30 days, with $XXX remaining of how much before I hit the limit, It also gives a "To increase this limit, we need additional info link". I click on the link and the page says "Limit removed, we are updating your account". It also had a checklist of "Confirm bank account, Add credit/debit card, and to supply SSN. There was green check marks next to the bank and card options, but of course not the SSN since its a stealth account.

My account is 4 months old and I have already added my card and bank account (Vanilla Visa and actual bank account) when I first made the account and had no problems since. Is this a random bug or glitch?

Have you confirmed both the bank account and credit card? PayPal sends micro deposits for the bank account and a four digit code to the credit card.

Both should already be verified as I didn't have the $500 limit. I verified the bank (BOA savings) with the micro deposits and I added the vanilla visa card as a gift card but there was nothing about verifying a four digit code. If so, then do I need to add a new card as a debit/credit? I threw away the original card once it hit 0.00.

Ok I will go back and check about the gift card. If I dont have the gift card anymore, can I add a new one and confirm that one or paypal only wants the original one?

Update: You guys were right, I had only linked the card, I never confirmed the $1.95 charge. I shall buy a new vanilla visa and confirm that way.

Thanks to all

Be sure to save that $1.95 confirmation link. Impossible to find on paypal's new site.

Make sure to do this everytime u startup a new PayPal. It's easy and takes 10 seconds. And you won't ever have to waste another gift card on it.

Also I was surprised at the new 1000 limits. It used to be $500 when I started in 2011 but I don't know when it changed. Pretty sure it was recent because my older PayPal accounts from last year started with $500 withdraw limits.

I think PayPal might be going soft or dropping their guard. Used to be you would get limited for having ~$500 in a new account. Now I usually do 500-750 on brand new accounts with 0 problems.

Not one bit. They are probably more "on guard" than ever these days.

This solved my problem! Thanks!
Main page says both bank and card are confirmed and only SS is not. This link allows me to confirm the card (again?) and lift the limit.

I don't recall seeing this step anywhere in the stealth book. This is vital information and it was omitted, unless I overlooked it. Now I've used most of my gift cards for purchase on Amazon.com. I still have the gift card details but these cards are non reloadable so obviously it means i wouldnt be able to confirm them since the balance is zero.
