Paypal Cannot upgrade to business Help!
 

My ebay almost have 200Sales and paypal already popped up a message telling me add the SSN/EIN into paypal. Once i tried to put in the EIN, paypal tells me that its unable to upgrade to business, i could create new paypal or solve the resolution problem first, but i went to resolution center, it does not have any case opening. Does anyone have this problem before? How do you fix it?

Do you plan on having $20,000 in annual sales this year? That paypal notice pops up sometimes when you have a nice month and it projects to over $20,000. For example, if you've done $2000 in August, that projects to $24,000 for one year, hence you are asked to give SSN/EIN or upgrade to business account, etc.

One solution is to slow down sales so that you don't reach the $20,000 annual limit. You will continue to get the notice, but always check "remind me later". Sometimes Paypal will limit you, sometimes Paypal resets to zero next year and you don't get the notice. There is no rhyme or reason whether they do or not.

The other solution is to upgrade a new PayPal business account with EIN, but boards here tell to either give any 4 numbers as the last 4 of SSN or to not remove the stealth name. Not sure what is right in this moment, so you might want to check boards.

I try to upgrade paypal to business account but it ask me either call them or create new account. I cant upgrade the account, so do i need to call them? or do i need to create new account?
