Do paypal lift eu limits before you use the account?
 

Hi there! newbie alert :) I am hoping someone can help. I have recently had my paypal limited after several years due to my complacency and trust. Totally my fault. However I have openend a new one submitted all the info required to lift limits....and to my surprise I am still waiting. It has been close to 4 weeks since I sent them.

It has been quite a while since I last had to do this so Im wondering if paypal now waits until you start using the account before they bother to lift the limits or is it just taking a much longer time nowadays?

It used to be much easier years ago....seems like they check more closely nowadays. No idea how long it takes- sorry.

You don't have to have transactions to lift limits, but as a result it takes excessively long. I would say in your case a week more, unless their really busy.

The best way to do it would be start selling, and as soon as you hit the soft limit of £1,650 they will expedite the review process.

I had 2 stealth accounts that hit the EU limit , I submitted ⊗⊗⊗⊗ docs and the accounts got fully restored within 2 days each time , so they can be pretty quick .

- If your received amounts are below €1,800 (Soft limit), verification time takes much longer (weeks).
- When you reach the soft limit €1,800 but below €2,500, then verification time is reduced.
- Once you exceed the limit of €2,500, your account will be limited and you won't be able to withdraw money until your documents are verified. In this case verification will take place in a few days, depending on how busy they are.
