Cancel Pending PayPal Refund
 

I just processed a refund thinking I had the funds in the stealth paypal account. However, it's drawing the money from the bank account to fund the refund. The echeck hasn't cleared, but I'm wondering if it's possible to cancel it?

you can instruct the bank not to pay it? it takes a few days for funds to clear via bank....

When its started it cannot be cancelled as far as I know

What type of bank account is this?

It's a barclays savers account.

I've read a few posts on the forum that have said they haven't had issues with echeques clearing despite the mismatch names?

It wont clear from a savings account

What may happen is the bank account getting removed. If that does happen you just need to phone PayPal to have it manually added again

If you have no funds in the account whatever it be bank or savings then the bank account will be removed after the transfer fails and your account will probably be negative the amount. If you want to re-add it to paypal you will have to call paypal and they will ask for probably id and bank account statement of the account you want added again. I talk from personal experience. I just left it like that and added another bank account.

I tried to cancel pending transfers, but they denied it and said no way possible, maybe sometimes it's possible manually if it's only been a few minutes.

they cannot pull money from a barclays savers - fact..
it does not matter if the bank contains funds, they cannot pull it....

Out of interest, if it's a normal barclays and they try to pull it, will it go through without problem?
