Paypal wont verify phone number
 

As of 2017 i noticed that all of my new stealth account, upon trying to send money are being asked to verify the phone number using SMS

All of them are created using GV and paypal sends SMS to that number
however after getting some payments into that paypal ,and trying to send money
im asked to verify the phone number ("we just want to make sure its you")
when clicking send SMS i get an error message saying that the number is not on my name.

anyone knows how to get around this?

Accounts are usa and accessed using dedicated VPN

Possible to swap numbers out? Thats weird, never seen that happen before.

Yes, get a real number from a real phone. That error has been happening for a long time when they do security checks involving GV numbers.

the number you see there is GV number, it won't be accepted

if i try to insert a mobile number they refuse it, saying its not on my name

Actually, I think you may have gotten a recycled number.

There is no solution to this problem...unless you call....

I'm having this problem with one of my accounts too. I called in and they asked for answers to some kind of security questions. I didn't set these up and there is no social linked to the account. Anyone have a solution?
