need a uk phone im from usa

i bought a paypal account from the uk but the owner does not have the phone number so i need a new number. should i buy a sim from the uk and ship it to the usa or use a voip? Im not sure what to do but i'm not going to touch the account until i have my own phone attached.

Buy a UK sim online and top up in the USA... Or a virtual phone # provider like James suggested works too.
