quick security check updated
 

if your account pulls a quick security check and you dont have access to the phone number.........on file your basically screwed now.....I cant seem to add a new number under the quick security check.........the security team made new updates.......

What updates did they make on your account?

i have access to the email account and security questions........but not all of the phone numbers for over 500 something accounts......

I would not be able to sustain a monthly bill like that.....

I dont have all the time in the world to add google voice and "hope" that the security system shows the gv number to show up.........over and over on 500+ accounts.....

I think since they pulled this crazy idea that you can't add a number.....the phone line is going to be even more tied up now..........with customers complaining....

I hear you. Regardless you should be able to update your phone number and get the verification through your email.

I haven't done this recently, but this is what I used to do since I never renew my phone line

only if you can pass 2-fa on having trouble logging in........that means if you dont have access to email and security questions.....your screwed.....you will have to call in and give them docs and the whole nine.....

when it asks you to verify phone number and you dont have access to it then you just update your phone number and it ll send the verification request to your email instead???????????????????

white hat security paypal team.....I swear............

I am going to try to stay really really really stealth until I accumulate 1000s of paypal accounts under my control.............

paypal security team always look at the backend logs of my key strokes and follows the trail of my game..........and sit their and patch my tricks....

so paypal put the phone verification back when sending money out......in terms of adding a phone number.........

I bet they knew how ridiculous they were being by totally taking it out.....

trying to add a bank account without your old number good luck with that.....I just called in to the people....they tell me to wait 48 hours....I don't know if they made adjustments.......but they said the system needs to refresh.........

lets hope things go through.

I had the same experience. They lied, it never ended up working. I tried several times. But hey ya never know

am not sure if anyone has noticed but they put the add phone feature back on paypal......on the quick security check......which is good news for me......=)

I had a method to add numbers in the PP name and the cnam shows registered pp name and it used to work but now its still telling me "this number is not in your name"

I want to ask you about the method u wrote. I have paypal account and my google voice is dead now. I can't pass Security Check, and it's about 3k$ stucked there. I want to pay for your method, it's about adding new phone with "add number" feature, right? PM me please, if someone can help with adding number
CNAM with verizon doesn't help. It throws "not registered in your name"

How long have you had QSC?

If just in last couple of days then it may go away, but maybe not if you attempted the process

Nope, it's still exist. I know exactly that there is a way to add number instantly to security check windows, cause i used verizon before and all was fine. But now it throws an error "isn't registered on your name". I just want to buy new service, which allow to link number instantly to paypal

So PP now checks if the phone number is registered to a specific name?

I've been away to Stealth for 2 years but before I never had such issue

In the USA at least, PayPal's defacto security checks involve sending an SMS or phone call to the number registered on the account. Normally, this is not an issue unless there is a problem with the phone # or it was recently updated. In some cases, even the new number on the account will not work because PayPal checks the subscriber name for the telephone number against the CNAM database managed by the carrier.

The most common result for a mismatch is an error to the effect: "This number doesn't appear to be registered in your name.".

This error can even show up even when the phone number IS in your name. Oftentimes it goes away on it's own after a few days. In cases were the ORIGINAL phone number was changed, it can take several MONTHS to be recognised.

When I faced security check a month ago (EU paypal) they warned me if I'd changed phone no. during the check they would suspend my account indefinetely. Are you sure your solution works?
