Using an out of state cell phone number.

I have a cell phone that has an area code from different state that I am currently in. It is a surrounding state though.

Would this cell phone be ok to use for eBay verification or do you have to use a phone that has the same area code in which you live.

It is also a cell phone with a major carrier, not a pre-paid.

Earlier this year, I used a telephone number 3 states away from the address registered to ebay. No problems with it. I did nearly the same thing on two other occasions. 3x success, 0x fail.

ebay verification is OK with this sort of thing. Think of the Armed Forces personnel who move around to different bases. Often their cell phone is from another state but they use it for ebay.:peace:

Thanks. I figured as much.

With all the restrictions, restraints and changes they make on a regular basis I just wanted to make sure.

Yep, we are military and I've used nothing BUT out of state phones for verification so far. No problems!
