sim/provider advice, cheap/top up only once a year
 

Hello friends,
Which sim card/phone provider would you suggest me to buy?
Something that I would have to top up only once a year to make sure the sim doesn't get deactivated...

I had a sim card with EE mobile. Bought it for £5 with £5 inside, but unfortunately I forgot to top up and it's been deactivated a long time ago. I checked on the EE website but it doesn't look like they provide the same service today anymore.

maybe buy Three UK and top up every 3 months, thats what I do not sure about longer options.

Get data sim cards from three or ee its last 24 months and sure it will deactivate after that so 2 years a quite good time ebay is full on them

What's the convenience of buying them from ebay?
Can I receive texts on data sim cards? For verifcation purposes..?

As far as i know a data sim does not connect to the voice network, means you can't receive SMS.

three doesnt deactivate sims ive like 100 from years ago and all of them are still live can receive sms in non UK/eu locations too

Are you sure every network has limit if its not topup for lets says 6 months they de activate

Search data sim on ebay 24 months it has 24gb

There is a "Fair Use Regulation" (something like that) applied last year throughout the whole EU.
