TaoBao Chinese smartphone - will it work in USA?

Hey guys - has anyone ever successfully bought a stealth/burner phone from China? I just bought a 3G speed for $27 on Taobao but I’m realizing it may not work in the USA. Also would I have to buy a US SIM card?

As long as it is UNLOCKED/OPENLINE. Then it should work with any sim card.
