Has anyone been using GoogeTalk?

Not sure it's a good phone verification option, since it's apparently hard to get an invite. I just got one, after waiting 3-4 months. I have to say, it pretty slick, and works great for phone management. If you haven't requested one, I would suggest going to the site, and get in line. Another good one to check out is GoogleWave.

Here's what I like about it.

• the caller id shows the persons real number
• you get text format messages & audio that you can play over the web
• it sends a summary of the message to your phone via sms message
• you can block callers
• you can setup specific callers to do various things

• ring through
• direct vm
• you can have the number follow you, if you have multiple phone lines. if one doesn't answer, it calls the next, and so

I've setup my call forwarding accounts to ring this number, and I can manage ALL of them over the web.

I had an invite email awhile back but I didn't use the service. I'll be sure to test it out to see how it fairs. Thanks for the reminder.
