Phone Verification with Extensions

I have a question...where I work it's a 1-800 number and I have a personal extension. On ebay registration I see that for verification there's a box to put your extension...will this work to verify my ebay account since this isn't my home or cell phone number?

I'd appreciate any incite or advice you may have.
