Is it ok to use a previously used phone # just to verify?

I have been doing stealth accounts for nearly a year now and have been very successful at it. One thing I want to know is regarding phone verification. I found that signing up with a bogus phone # most of the time works. Most of the accounts I use did not require phone verification because I first verified my PayPal account by bank account and confirmed address by credit card, then I linked this PayPal account to the eBay account. Never was asked for a phone #.

Sometimes though, I get hit with a phone verification because it says I'm signing in from a computer not known which is of course bs. When this happens I just get another VoIP #. But this costs money. My question is, I want to know if it is ok to use a previously used number just to verify the account. This # won't be added to the eBay/PayPal account, but only to verify the account. Will eBay save this # in their records and link me? I'm thinking maybe not as I could use a public pay phone # that other people have used to verify their account from the same location. Let me know what you think. Or if I should just pay for # and save me the trouble!

If it was me I would pay the $ just for the peace of mind, rather than taking a guess at what Ebay might or might not keep records of and chance linking an account.

Voip numbers are cheap as chips :)

FYI Before here I made 10 accounts up the wrong way. I then confirm the location with the same house number. Needless to say they all got limited. After doing it the right way I was able to unlimit 5 of them. THey are still going strong to this day. :peace:

Ya you're probably right. I'll just buy new #'s in my Vonage. They are cheap but I have a lot of accts so it adds up. Better to pay up then face bs later.

^^^Pleased to read you are going that way. Adjust the cost of your items to cover phone expenses. Try to run the accounts with the least amount of chances for ebay to look at them. Recyling a phone number creates the potential of problems :peace:
