Voip has been a bad choice for a long time...

Are you actually in North America? Because you can get a real phone very very cheaply and easily

Use Trakfone if your US based

A few VOIPs work but they are pretty risky a so you really need to research to make sure the one your choosing isnt know to cause problems

If you are in Canada buy a US sim card pay as you go, they will ship them to you. They will ship them to the UK I just checked.
