What's the best phone solution for eBay as we enter into 2026?
 

Just curious what people recommend for use in the USA for phone verification.

Tracfone still work?

My understanding is that the phone needs to be able to receive SMS and also take actual calls.

I've never used a Tracfone before, so please be kind to this noob :)

I'm reading the website and it says no contract but also has a monthly fee? Maybe I'm not understanding it right.

I thought a Tracfone is a one-time purchase for a set amount of data, with the option to buy more and refill it if needed?

I assume a Tracfone can accept SMS messages as well.

it's not hard to figure out how tracfone works. or use straight talk wireless

There are so many now, main thing is to avoid voip or similar numbers, they can be detected easily and lead to limitations...

I have a tracfone I bought in local supermarket,I signed up for its service,it is now owned by Verizon and in my area,Verizon signals are good so I get good reception.
They have different plans,you can go to its website and check it out.
I have an annual plan for low usage,both text messaging and phone calls,no problem,I think it comes up to $7.99 /month??

It's a shame you guys in America don't have pay as you go sims, you have to buy a whole phone ffs

Buy a speedtalk mobile sim card and pay $5 per month for 100 minutes. Swap sim cards and you can have as many lines as you want for $5 each using one burner phone.

I used to use iPlum all the time. Never had any issues.
