Vonage virtual number

I currently have phone number through vonage that is linked to a suspended account, but vonage has an option where I can add a virtual number that is linkend to my current number. My question is would I be able to use this new number to open a new account with amazon without them knowing that this number belong to me? after all it's a different number... Thank you!

vonage can also change that number for a fee, i think it's 10 dollars.

The idea behind most virtual numbers is that your home number is not seen by anyone. Yes, I imagine it will work.
