TracFones at Familty Dollar for $10

OK, so this is not as good a deal as the Big Lots blowout. But I was at Family Dollar today, and they have the TracFones for $10 and those come with 20 minutes of airtime. So it is not a bad deal.

If you buy one go to momsview.com and search for their free coupon codes. You can get extra minutes this way when you activate the phone online.

To remain 100% anonymous, when you activate online and the page comes up asking for your info, just scroll down to the bottom and click on "skip this step". You now have an untraceable cell phone.

Can I buy a few off of ya? Ha =(

OfficialGenius 07-27-2010 05:01 PM

These phones are becoming harder to find, specially on eBay! I should've jumped on them a few months back when they were dirt cheap on eBay. Not even Best buy, Walmart nor Sears has the cheapest version which is the W175G. I don't live near a biglots so I will have to call up my family dollar and see if they have it.

Thanks

lakeman 07-27-2010 05:19 PM

My local Walmart has had the $10 model in stock every time I've been. Several months ago I read somewhere they were discontinuing the $10 model, but they still sell them. :noidea:

ptenchick 07-27-2010 06:12 PM

I buy mine for $9.99 in Duane Reade...they also come with free 20 minutes of airtime...and hey are always next to Vanilla Visa gcards... :)

Didn't know about this one! I will check.

Thank you :)

healthnut88 07-28-2010 03:52 PM

Thanks. I missed the $5 sale at Big Lots a few months ago. My Walgreens has them at regular price for $12.99 with 20 minutes. I'll check out Family Dollar. Thanks for the info and also the coupon info!

holyhell 08-01-2010 09:07 PM

Thanks for that coupon code! I always use Tracfone, they are at 7-11 stores for 9.99, I think I have like 5 of them. Some of them have numbers linked to suspended accounts, can I somehow re-use these?

there no good for suspended accounts because the number stays on there. either throw them away or sell it to some idiot on ebay lol.

rsot 08-02-2010 04:21 PM

If they are still active, and you abso-fugging-lutely want to use them, you can call forward to them...=)

SaiJin 08-12-2010 01:29 PM

Guys, these tracfones... family dollar in my area has them for $10 but the guy said that it doesn't come with any minutes?? Care to clarify this?

healthnut88 08-12-2010 04:41 PM

The ones I've seen have in very, very small print on the package that says "comes with 20 minutes". I really had to hard for it. (You would think that they would make that text "jump" out at you) ??

SaiJin 08-12-2010 04:45 PM

Oh really? COuld you tell me where on the packing so when I call I can tell the clerk?
Also, how long do the minutes last for? 30 days 90 days?

healthnut88 08-12-2010 05:36 PM

The one I'm looking at right now is listed on the BACK under Step 1: Set it Up ...then right below a red box it says, "Your tracfone includes 10 minutes of airtime etc......"

This phone in particular that I'm looking at is for 30 days and 10 min.

Hope this helps! :)

SaiJin 08-12-2010 08:48 PM

10 minutes eh. and only 30 days of expiration. That's rather short.

Thanks!

holyhell 08-15-2010 09:02 AM

You get 20 minutes when you register it online.

Ditto in my experience...minimum of 20 minutes and 60 days if activated online

Sandy D 08-16-2010 12:32 AM

Sorry I have not been on in while but if I remember the last time I was on Tracfone worked for ebay but not for paypal if I am correct.

Let me know if I am wrong because I have many family dollars and can go buy a truckload. :D

SaiJin 08-16-2010 12:41 AM

Hmmm.... 20 min, for 60 days.
I think I'd prefer 5 minutes 90+ days.
More cost effective... no?

IDK 08-16-2010 02:13 AM

They are 7 bucks where I'm from, but thanks for the heads up.

newtools 08-27-2010 05:15 PM

on feebau you can buy a Tracfone sim for $5 - cant you just pop the new sim in a cheap $10 tracfone and and then reg. at Tracfones site and get a new #? or is it a prob. with the imei and reg. multiple sims?

First Edition 09-16-2010 04:14 PM

how do you know which ones come with the extra minutes?

OfficialGenius 09-16-2010 08:55 PM

They have different models so it can be confusing. I'm going to try get the model, picture and info from each because 30 days expiration is a waste of time and money.

The ones at walmart come with free 20minutes. They are $9.99ea. On the box it states they come with 10free minutes plus 60 days. But when you activate the phone online I get a message saying 20 free minutes.

First Edition 09-17-2010 12:15 AM

HurricaneHuntr 09-21-2010 02:34 PM

aking 09-21-2010 03:20 PM

robsut 09-21-2010 03:33 PM

Is there anything like this for the U.K.

HurricaneHuntr 09-22-2010 06:27 AM

Picked up 3 at the family dollar in tampa. The place was ghetto.so they let me buy 3 in two different transactions lol

HurricaneHuntr 09-22-2010 06:28 AM

Oh mine were on sale 8$ea.. Not as g ood as the 5$deal

OfficialGenius 10-01-2010 02:28 PM

Does anyone know which model is the one that comes with free 20 minutes?
I know the W175g comes with 10 minutes.

First Edition 10-01-2010 04:48 PM

It's not the model... it's the offer on the box. Some retailers it, some don't :/

TRIALnERROR 10-01-2010 04:59 PM

FYI people:

I purchase Tracfones at Target and RiteAid for $10.00. I've been through 7 of them. EVERY TRACFONE on the shelf by default comes with 10 or 20 minutes of air time for activation. Read the small print on the back and you'll see it. The sales REP will TRY and convince you to add minutes, but it's totally unnecessary.

**ALL $10 MODELS = SAME DEAL**

You simply need the phone for quick verifications. Keep it charged and always keep a balance on it. You receive 90 days of service so mark dates on your desktop calendar to replenish minutes.

Cheapest phone/deal I've seen thus far.

lakeman 10-01-2010 06:16 PM

Every Tracfone I have bought has said it comes with 10 free minutes on the box, but when I activate it, I have alway been given 20 free minutes.

First Edition 10-01-2010 07:15 PM

I must be doing something wrong :)

jimmylott1 10-02-2010 03:10 AM

I just pick up 4 W175G at my local big lots for $5 bucks each sweet :)

OfficialGenius 10-04-2010 11:01 PM

I'm still on a mission to find these in NY. :pry:

It also includes 60 days of active service.

I'm confused about that^ so does the phone become useless after the 60th day IF no minutes are iin the phone or aren'y used? or when you add minutes, does your days of active service extend?

Just want to clear this up.

Quick update...

I was at Family Dollar this morning, and the only TracFones they had left were $15. BUT - they were camera phones with BlueTooth and also came with the double minutes for life feature.

Their being out of stock only pertains to my local store, they DO still carry the other cheaper ones.

This is not a bad deal if you want a nicer phone and double minutes. Not NECESSARY for stealth, but still nice.

And Just a REMINDER:

Always, Always, Always use the COUPON CODES!

Go to momsview.com and search for their free coupon codes. You can get extra minutes this way when you activate the phone online. Sometimes it will also give you extra days of service, which is what you REALLY WANT since it lowers your cost. No registration required, no BS and it's free. No, I DON'T have anything to do with the site. But they rock!

To remain 100% anonymous, when you activate online at TracFone and the page comes up asking for your info, just scroll down to the bottom and click on "skip this step". You now have an untraceable cell phone.

And these DO WORK for AMAZON as well.

fenway 10-09-2010 02:38 PM

I live in Sacramento California area. i went to BIG LOTS and bought 10 phones. they were marked as 10.00, but when i got to the register, they rang up as 5.00 a piece,, activate online and receive 20 free minutes...

they are all reconditioned at BIG LOTS, it tells you on the box, but they look new to me, i could'nt even tell until i saw the big sticker on the back that said RECONDITIONED..

.. the model number is W260g moto
