Private phone shutting down Feb 19 2008

Received a automated voice mail today about private phone shutting down Feb 19, 2008. If you want to keep the number, they have a special deal for existing customers. I received this voice on 2 of my account. I guess they are starting to call all subs.

They were supposed to shut down in December but I get emails of people leaving voicemail on them still.

Nobody is switching because privatephone.com gouges on rates.

They should charge $1 a month for 1 number.

$10 a month for 20 numbers.

But this is if the numbers are hardly used. If the numbers are used a lot, they charge more. You should also be able to change your number at will, especially since sometimes you get a number from them and that number is bombarded with telemarketing calls and othertimes not.
