Ebay calling about listings
 

I was with someone the other day that listed an item on their account to sell and maybe 20mins later ebay call and asks to verify the listing. Has the happened to anyone else before? If so, when did you receive the call? I'm asking so because i'm not sure if i want to suscribe to a call forwarding service for many months.

they suspended me for listing an item.

Have had calls, yes. Last one was 5 weeks ago.

If you cant afford to subscribe to a phone service, why are you doing ecommerce?

Have an active phone number, have the ability to get an ebay phone call= one happy seller. Simples:lol:

Yes, ebay has started calling people new sellers especially in 2010 and from this year on to every other year that will come for ebay.

i have 6 accounts with #'s that after 60 days of trac phone went dead, haven't updated it. Would it be smart to? Probably, but i haven't. They usually only call at the very beginning of your sales, from my experience. They say they just want to make sure you have the product. But, we know it's a combination of phone verification and that.

yes, you should update the 6 account numbers with fowarding numbers since anything is possible.

Have they started doing this for all kinds of listings or just for items they consider "higher risk"? (Like electronics, etc.)

I set up a a VCC ebay account with credit card and paypal! I used a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name and my dads phone number, I verified the number and then went ti list an item, and ebay took the item down and asked me to call in to verify security qestions, but my dad wont do it, cause he doesnt want his name on the account, now Im screwed and need to make another ebay account, I need to get past the verified security qeustions! i cant use my own number or name, because I was suspended and not aloud to open any other accounts, I was suspended after 1 year or selling items, on this account. so I just need to figure out how to get another sellers account! I really need it asap

why can you call in? get a fowarding number from vumber, 14 day trial. cancel after if you don't want the number. it lets you call from your fowarding number too. i use it all the time for ebay.

yes i once had it when i listed a macbook pro (hates mac)and got a call and they needed me to verify that i had it in possession and they did that by asking me did i have it o.O sure i have it XD
