It works just like a normal phone number and there is no way eBay will notice anything unusual.

However, if I am not mistaken Grandcentral requires invites..I think.

Grandcentral is used by many here with no problems from ebay. Works well.

You can actually go to their site and join: or another user here will no doubt
give you an invite. Whatever way you go, you have to wait a while for the number.

Yeah ive been waiting a while for my number it been like a week..I PM'd for an invite from that chain invite thread we had earlier but no invite...can anyone send me one please??

Steve, at the moment grand central has disabled its invites. Seems there are tech problems. Not sure if grand central will still be OK for use.
Have you tried this UK VoIP Internet Phone Service - VoIP PBX Switchboard and Telephony services

This is very popular with the UK users. mantisinc has info about it.

i think you can also get a US phone number with voip for a few quid... will probably try that...

There has been a delay wit registrations earlier this week. Would not hurt to try.

it does NOT accept US signups ! (they check IPs)
but you can get a US phone number when signing up from the UK...
