Can I just get a new private landlline phone number and use that?
 

Can I just get a new private dial up landline phone number and use that? Can paypal or ebay see my private registration? Why doesn't everyone just do that and pay a fee for a new number? It seems there is no other alternative since tossabledigits is blacklisted on ebay. How about using a friends number that lives locally? Can they see the address if it's private??

but still once u enter the phone number in for ebay to verfiy your phone and if u get banned and later u get asked to verfy your phone again wont they match the # and banned u again

Or dose ebay banned people who have same phone numbers as a banned memeber?

He says 'New', probably meaning a new number, and not the old.

this method only wood be good to verfiy one account i guess

i have 3-4 ids and seems they always ask for phone verfy over time so this method would not work for me unless i get a number change every time i need to verfiy a account and wonder how much that would cost

There are other methods out there, you just have to look. :)
