Just got a Tesco sim, put it in my o2 iPhone & can't get it to work? Tesco use o2's network right?

i ordered 4 PAYG SIM cards from Orange (for free) on their website on Tuesday and they arrived Thursday. No need to register the cards or put any money on them. Put the SIM in, turned the phone one. The SIM registers on their network and the first thing they do is text you with your new phone number. You can't get any simpler or cheaper than that.
