oompaloompa 11-08-2011 10:36 AM

you can get tesco sim and alot of others sent to you for free, google online. think instore tesco sim is £1

ingle92protege 11-08-2011 11:07 AM

I agree Tesco... You just go to the store and they are at the checkout right next to the conveyor belt

They are 99p

tylamay 12-02-2011 12:05 AM

i used asda sim cards does the job for me only 99p plus you get 25p credit to start off with and you dont have to register it either, but only downfall is you can only buy 2 asda sim cards only, they wont let you have no more than 2, so i if you want more best thing to do is get somone else to buy you more or take a trip to other asda store :amen:

I had a spare voda one that came with a phone that worked straight away, anyone know if they all just work with no registration/top up or was this jus cause it came with a phone?

ingle92protege 12-04-2011 09:54 PM

Tesco work with no registration. Tells you the number of the sim card on the sim card itself.

Buy as many as you want for 99p each.

koko007 12-12-2011 03:31 AM

I order online Tesco sim card for free.

Vodafone ones work as well.

Put the sim in. Press *#100# to get the number.

To activate the sim, simply try and make a call from the phone. Once you've done this you can receive texts and incoming calls.

Tesco were giving them away free, but aren't anymore. Price is now 99p.

koko007 12-16-2011 06:54 AM

Today I have order online 2 Tesco sim free...

GTB 12-16-2011 08:14 AM

ipburger.com :thumb: has an offer for free vodafone sims, you are allowed upto 8

like oomps said...you can get em free online

02 is good coz the number is on the card it comes attached to:)

and if you need to plenty of shops sell them

onestop sells them for 49p each:clap:

koko007 12-21-2011 09:57 AM

Just to let you know guys ! I bought vodaphone sim from eBay for 1 pence lol...

lucy 01-03-2012 05:05 AM

vodafone sims dont allow you to see the simcard number, i have sims off the voda web site and they dont take the *#1001# and there way you can call anyone it dont have the emergency option of 1 call

any other way to see the simcard number without topping up the phone

GTB 01-03-2012 11:00 AM

its not *#1001#

it is *#100# just to clarify

also it does work, try again, get another sim or a different network

orange sometimes you need to ring them up

02 have the number on the packaging and works from when you put it in the phone

lucy 01-03-2012 11:35 AM

O.k, I tried again with it is *#100# just to clarify typed that into my mobile with the voda sim in, what number do I send that message to then?

*#100# - after typed into my phone nothing happens, it has to be sent to a number somewhere?

i already told you what to do in a pm

to activate a uk vodafone sim card you send a blank message to 9770

lucy 01-03-2012 12:41 PM

I've done that, all I get back is a tex message from vodafone thats says

"...you have sent a text message...thanks for using vodafone short message service"

and then a number message centre is display and when i ring that it says you have dialled an incorrect number

GTB 01-03-2012 12:46 PM

so you put the sim in,sent a blank message to 9770

then got a reply txt message

then you typed in *#100# and got the number

then dialed it and it is wrong number

what does someone else answer it or is it unknown

try giving vodafone a call if the problem persists

lucy 01-03-2012 01:02 PM

GTB, I want to give you a big big juicy kiss, Got it working:cheer:

I read your post above, and the penny finally dropped, by a bit slow, I realised what I was doing wrong, I was

sending the empty message to 9770 and then not doing anything else, just waiting for the message centre message from voda

after having read your post above I then followed this up by

typing in *#100# and then pressing the dial button and i got the phone number at long last

thank you and everyone else

this is what i did step by step

1. sending blank message to 9770 got the number (not the simcard number though, just message from voda message centre)

2. then type *#100# and dial it

3. This give you the number

:dance::dance::dance:
