Phone Number linked to Account, How Long to keep it?
 

How long (how many months) do you have to maintain the phone number you registered when creating a seller's account on Ebay? (or Amazon)?

Because as we know, it is not free, i pay $10 per month for my forwarding # service, can I cancel after a few months??

Your customers, eBay and Paypal need to contact you.

You will risk being limited if they phone and the line is dead.

$10 is also not that much if you are making money on the account.

Well, how often does Ebay actually call the # you have registered? After the initial "check up the account" which happens when you open a new seller account, they only call you maybe 1 time per year, or after you achieve a certain seller status (for example if you get a purple star after 200 sales or something..)

Also, most customers on ebay do not call but instead email you, right?

whats the point in going to all that trouble nuturing the account to then put it at risk by not having a contactable number on it? :doh:

just use google voice! it works for me but be careful it's 10 dollars to change the number!
