Mobile Phone Verify Question

Im about to register with ebay (UK), they want a phone number, If I put in my mobile phone number, I see that there is a space for an area code?? can I confirm that I can use my mobile number and what do I use for the area code if you dont need an area code to call a mobile phone.

Thanks again

Thankful 04-16-2012 09:51 AM

You can't - it needs to be a landline and the mobile is like a secondary.

It's the landline number which verifies the code they send you.

Get "Soho66" with 2 pounds for a number can't go wrong! it diverts your calls to your home phone and works perfect.

Phonesboxes have been known to work aswell however if you want something steady just go to Soho66.

using Soho66, can their number divert to my mobile number? If not and I have to divert it to my landline number, is it 100% for certain ebay cant see my landline number

Thankful 04-16-2012 10:27 AM

You can forward the number you purchase to a landline or mobile number.

Soho66 i think personally is the cheapest and best geographically according to the phone numbers they offer.

I have over 10 numbers myself all work fine and have been for a long time now - aswell as others who have used the service before me and can confirm it's solid!! never had any issues with them.

okay, now I can progress, thank you

by the way, when I sign up to Soho66, is it ok to use my real contact name, email add, details and so forth, sorry for being so paranoid.

Thankful 04-16-2012 10:40 AM

Thanks rsot

Yeah your real details on the soho66 site is safe and secure. :pop2:

ebabe 04-16-2012 11:06 AM

I have signed up, I have my number, just a quick question, how do I setup the redirect to my mobile, im on my Soho control panel.

Thankful 04-16-2012 11:20 AM

From my Soho control panel > your numbers > click the number they gave you > call routing > routing wizard > *tick* "Send the call to one or more internal/external destinations" > On External telephone numbers to ring > write out your mobile and next and finish - your good to go from there!

ebabe 04-16-2012 11:49 AM

Thanks again, soho66 works good

It's a great service, been using it for ages now, it will give you a choice of numbers for you area (with the area code).

For example London - it offers 2 area codes 0203 and 0207 - then you can pick a full number from the list.

Other cities may have just have 1 area code and so on...

I would like to purchase 10 numbers for the same phone, for 10 stealth accounts. Should I sign up for "Multiple user VoIP", "Business VoIP for up to 10"? If I do that, I can get a block of 10 numbers for £17. Is this the correct way to get what I want?

Thankful 04-25-2012 05:17 AM

Business VoIP services > Multiple user VoIP > Business VoIP for up to 10 is correct - but then you may need £5 credit on the account aswell.

I've had £5 credit on the account for 4 months+ and it's only on £4.50 now, they charge credit for chargable calls - still well worth it.

levi6482 04-25-2012 05:29 AM

but i dont live in a city....will it have an area code for my town?? other virtual phone sites do not use my area code :heh:

Thankful 04-25-2012 05:30 AM

Whats your area code? i'll have a look.

levi6482 04-26-2012 03:01 AM

The person you mention will have a limited amount in which he can recieve.

Being Verfied determine how much money you can send and withdraw from your account.

Yes it makes sense to have different bank accounts for different stealth accounts.

levi6482 04-26-2012 01:56 PM

ok that answers my questions thanks. I have just got somebody to call my new extension number & it goes straight to a an answering message saying i am not available. which box do i tick at step 1...Where would you like to route your number to in the 1st step??

Thankful 04-26-2012 02:07 PM

You do need some credit on the account, put £5 on it should last you for 6months+ easy.

levi6482 04-26-2012 02:16 PM
