Prepaid Phones like trac phone and go phone whichs is th best ?
 

yeah i guess im going to have to go the prepaid phone route and i need a phone that i can change the number on it i belive track phone has that opition but i think its limted to 1 time a month change which sucks i need one i can change when every i want is there any out there like that?

A voip might be better for you. There are a lot of options in this forum, keep looking.

o voip like vonage? my cable co. offers digtal phone but i dont think i can change the number when every i like

I have tried tracfone, net 10 and others and they all failed for me.

I just picked up a go phone for 20 bucks. It comes with a Sim and $10 mins pre paid....I haven't tried verifying with it yet...but if it works the plan is to just buy a sim and $10 pre-paid card off ebay for around $6 and stockpile them when i need new numbers. :)

I have been using a net10 phone for about 6 months now...got me on and has worked when I needed to get additional verification calls. $30 for the phone and 300 minutes, but the minutes are only good for 60 days, so $15/month. Recently bought one on ebay for like $20 including the 300 minutes for a new account I plan on setting up.

Trac phones work great. $10 a phone, good for 60 days and 20 minutes. Have opened 7 stealth accounts in last month with them. Lots of phones to carry all day for the dreaded verification calls lol.

Can u use the trac phones on paypal also.

exactly what I was going to suggest. go phone only good for a month I believe these good for 2 and for 10 bucks you can't go wrong.

Yes, they work for both ebay and paypal. I have heard some people write about needing a land line phone number to give paypal, but I think that is when they are scrutinizing your account for one reason or another, not for setting up your account. My old paypal account to this day has a cell phone in as my primary home number and it has never been questioned.

alot of people in the usa do not own landlines anymore so i can't see them forcing you to get one. that would cut into their business too much.

Well in the UK for awhile landlines were the only way to go.. that's where you 'heard' about it.

In the US this isn't a problem as you see.

tracfone is the way to go. If u wanna change your number just call customer service and tell them u travel frequently for work and would like a local # for where you're going. They never ask nosy questions and can sometimes switch it pretty quickly. Just make sure you're 'traveling' to a major city otherwise they'll have to send u a replacement phone that's compatible with an area's service. Not too big of deal though- the replacement arrives at your door in a couple of days

Just tried a Trac phone and it didn't work. Got error:

"You cannot confirm a cell phone number. Please select or add a land-based phone number at the address you selected."

This was after the paypal account was limited and during the "Confirm Location by Phone" option.

never had that one. I'd call them and tell them you don't have a land line like 80% of the rest of the world that has switched over to cellphones.....

Maybe paypal has a different set of rules if the account has already been limited (my case). Either way, I just used ringcentral forwarding and it worked like a charm.

I use boost prepaid. You can buy sims with $5 credit on it for $5 shipped on ebay

Looks like boost has a 10 cent a minute plan, so the $5 would last for 50 minutes or 60 days? Definitely a better deal than trac. Has anyone tried it on a paypal account that's already been limited - Address Verification process?

You were able to confirm your eBay with tracfone, right? But not paypal?

I am in the process of fully registering an account. The last thing I need to do for both ebay and paypal is register a phone number. I have used skype in the past, but it's $18.. I would like to use something cheaper. If trac phone works that's awesome. If not, i may try boost?

you cannot confirm your location with paypal using tracfones after your limited but you can use it to set up the account.

Okay, I just got a tracfone ($9.88 @ walmart).. registered it with ebay. I guess I'll go on and register it with paypal, even though they are not asking for it as I have confirmed the location already with bank account.

edit: Just added tracfone to paypal.. but they new it was a mobile.. they sent me a SMS code.. tracfone deducts 30 seconds for SMS! haha

I got a net spend phone they work well and only cost $30 and come with 300 mins and 60 days of sevrice and if u refill the mins before the days run out it reset your days and u keep all the extra mins :)

this phone also severes me well cause my persoanl cell phone wont work in roaming so i can use this when i travel
