Hi folks,

Promised GreenBean I would pass this on but only just getting around to it now.

I found these guys online and used their number cloaking to open up a verified ebay and paypal account.

You get to use the number for 90 days so it should be spot on and its simply a redirect to your mobile rather than a whole new line to consider.

Worked for me, hopefully it will help some of the others in the UK needing a solution.

its a premium number and for verifications and automatic calls, inc possible queries from eb/pp, their systems will not/cannot use it.

oh, I didnt realise that.

I have used it and had a verification call through from ebay and google with no issue all the same.

I tried it today, and it verified eBay with no problem...

So they are 070 numbers. They trick the average person in the street into thinking they are mobile numbers, when in fact they are charged at a premium rate.

They may work for verification, although a manual review if spotted would raise a flag i'm sure. £2.50 a month for a "proper" looking landline is well worth it in my opinion.

The days of getting no limits eBay/PayPal accounts for less than £5 and a bank account are long gone, a few quid saved on the phone number which could bring the whole thing crashing down isn't worth it.

And that is no issue for me, since I throw exhaust the 100 item limit on each account in 2-3 hours and never log in ever again. They can do their worst 2 years later and I won't care. So this is a fine solution for someone like me.

Yes in the last two weeks - two accounts so far, no issues.
