They Called Immediately On My New Account When I Went To List An Item
 

Just created a new account today- and as soon as I clicked submit to list an item, they wanted to verify my phone number right away which I did and my item was listed.

Make sure your phone number works before you even register

Yep yep, reason why I suggest using a valid phone number from the get go. Go job ebayisanecessaryevil.

Well if it doesn't work I'll just change it and then have them call. :confused:

The problem is when you go thru the expense of getting a phone line, and they pull your listings and make that account useless before you can re-coup your losses.

Btw, was it an automated call? Or an eBay-Monkey?

did you verify my phone before when you registered as a seller account or ebay just asked to verify your phone when you tried to list?

Does anyone know what services to use within Canada?

sorry it took so long to reply- i ended up doing both! First, they did the automated thing, and THEN 20 minutes later a MONKEY CALLED! I was shocked to see the UTAH number on my caller ID- the person asked who I was, verified the registration info on my account, and asked what i listed today. That ID has since survived, no problems.

Wait....a monkey called you?

YUP! I wonder if ebay gets a special tax credit for hiring primates to do their phone work?
