Need to unlock my account by phone verification
 

Tonight I screwed up switching computers and the second one didn't have the password saved so I went to retireve and that is where my problems started.
I re entered all of my correct registration information, but now I need to "unlock" my account by phone (is this part of the new and inproved security alert we all received awhile back?)
So, I need a temporary (or longer) phone number that will forward to my cell.
Obviously would prefer a free (demo, etc) number.
I've checked over the recent posts in this area and haven't founf anything.

BTW I did get a number at freedidgits, but it has an area code from a different state and even though I entered my number in call forwarding destination boxes incoming calls go into a mailbox and not forwarded to my phone.

Try tollfreeforwarding.com it gives a free 10 day trial period and also try gotvmail.com they do charge $35 initially but give you 30 days to cancel. I verified accounts accout using both phone forwarding companies with success.

I just got a number from tollfreeforwarding and had a friend call me...seems to work ok. Now to see if it passes the ebay test.

Does anyone know if tollfreeforwarding limits the number that is being forwarded to? I would only have one of their numbers going to my cell at a given time, but if I do it once does that mean I can't get one of their numbers and have it forwarded to my cell again in a couploe of months?

If you use a different cc and name you will be able to use the cell phone number which you previously used. To get the different name and cc just use the Simon giftaccount and put any name as the recipient.
