Anyone having problem to register with GV lately? Or it just me. Most of the time I get an error.

I just set up 3 numbers.

I was only allowed a total of 5 numbers to 1 phone then it errors out.

That's pretty much how it works, 4-5 Google Voice(s) to 1 Real Number.

I am having that same problem, I verify my personal number and when I go to select my forwarding number I get the error "There was an error processing that request please try again later"

This is the error message you get when a phone number has been used too many times to make GV accounts. You will have to take the number off GV accounts it is on to use it again, or get a new non-GV number to make more GV accounts.

Get a new unused number going for use with the GV services as dallasreed stated in the second part of his comment. If you take the number off of other GV accounts there may be a delay involved still for GV to see the change.

It is getting harder and harder to remove a number. Especially the original active number that you need to forward a number to.

Once the original number is used multiple times you can remove the GV or someone can claim it if not used but GV has not stopped in most cases allowing the original number to be attached so multiple GV numbers.

Google voice sucks and not a good option i use voip services

I have a problem with GV today. I have my GV number set up to Groove IP Lite on my smartphone. I can make outbound calls, but cannot receive any inbound calls.

Also my Callcentric number is not ringing

Does Callcentric number have an option for live call vs. straight to voicemail? What happens when you call your number sax4?

GV is not good for Ebay. why you insisting using it, if you have Iphone, you will find better solutions

I use it all of the time. You can easily get at least 2 numbers for every pre paid phone you have without any issues.

It is when you try to use more then 2 that you run into problems.

VoIP phone from City, State

So Ebay and paypal know it is a VOIP that is why you never get the text MSG from PayPal if you will try to confirm your mobile number or confirm location

for some app on iphone they give you Land line numbers if you will reverse it, the results will be:

(land line provider) land line from xxxx,xxxxx

You still can not get the text from PayPal to confirm your mobile number, but it works fine to confirm your location

where can I get an a new number from I only have one phone. Unless there's an app I can use. I have a Galaxy S3

Buy a Tracfone, $8 will give u 4 google voice + the Tracfone number, OR try Vumber.

GV for those who need it for ebay.

We know the difference but some do not.


Zoon is correct when it comes to pp issues.

GV for ebay is working fine if done correctly.

Vumber numbers show up as voip's or landline?

Even Ebay adding 2 different phone numbers on ebay and paypal, is red flag! ( all info must match )

my point is to make ebay and paypal relaxed as much as possible, I do not risk my accounts by adding VCC with no address attached, VOIP phone, and also name does not match with the address on the public records. that is an open invitation for both Ebay and Paypal to put as many as red flags as possible

You were talking about pp lack of sending test messages which is what I was talking about.

Some believe pp will send text messages and they wont no matter if you have matching numbers or not.

Ebay will send verification text with no problems.

very true, you will receive paypal text msg if you are using real mobile number, they are very strict on that.

Sorted it out with GV now at least. You were correct, the settings appear to have changed themselves and were going straight to VM.

Now have to figure out callcentic

Sorry but it use to be 1 Google voice 1 real number?

This would help me save a bundle on tracfones.
